Dog Nutrition and Preventative Health for a Longer, Happier Life

Your Starter Kit for Raising a Happy, Healthy Dog

Most of us want the best for our dogs but without meaning to, we can sometimes do more harm than good. Whether it’s feeding the wrong food, missing subtle signs of discomfort, or overstimulating with exercise instead of fulfilling real needs, small everyday choices add up. The Healthy Canine gives you a practical, veterinary professional informed starting point to get it right from the beginning or hit reset if needed. We’ll show you how to support your dog’s body and mind through smarter nutrition, movement, and routine. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about giving you the tools to do better, every day. A healthy, happy dog doesn’t happen by chance; it starts with you, and the choices you make every day.

Sound familiar?

This course is for you if your dog is:

  • If you’re unsure what your dog’s daily routine should look like and how to strike the perfect balance between physical exercise, mental stimulation, and necessary rest.
  • Confusion caused by conflicting nutritional advice, making it hard to trust what’s really in your dog's bowl or how to read a label accurately.
  • Fear of missing the "silent" signs of pain or mobility issues that could be addressed early with the right knowledge and home-check techniques.
  • Persistent "grumpiness" or sudden reactivity that might actually be a physical SOS rather than a behavioral problem.
  • You want to maximise your dog’s lifespan without wasting money on unproven supplements or confusing health fads.
  • A busy schedule that makes traditional training feel impossible, creating a need for a realistic way to build habits into the time you already have.

Understand What’s Really Going On

We don’t just focus on behaviour we dig into what’s driving it. Dogs show discomfort in subtle ways, and many behaviour struggles actually start with pain, poor nutrition, or mental overload. You’ll learn how to spot those early and make better choices before small issues become big ones.

Training That Starts With Wellness

Good behaviour doesn’t come from ‘fixing’ your dog it comes from supporting them properly. When your dog’s body feels good, their brain works better. You’ll learn how to use daily structure, enrichment and calm training sessions to get the best from your dog without overdoing it.

The Body-Mind Connection

You can’t separate physical health from behaviour. If your dog’s in pain, inflamed, or missing key nutrients, it will show up in how they act. We’ll show you how to take care of their physical needs so they’re in the right state to learn, settle, and enjoy life.

From Guesswork to Confidence: Build a Wellness Routine That Works

Your dog can’t tell you when something’s wrong but their body and behaviour will. The Healthy Canine gives you a clear, practical way to tune in early, take action, and build daily habits that support long-term health. Learn from qualified professionals in nutrition, physiotherapy and training without overwhelm or guilt.

FAQs

We know that getting starting with training might seem a bit overwhelming, here are some frequently asked questions to help.

How long does the course take?

The Healthy Canine is self-paced. Most dog owners complete it in 3–4 weeks, but you have lifetime access to revisit content whenever your dog’s needs change.

Is this course suitable for all dogs?

Yes, it’s designed to support dogs at every age and stage, from puppies to seniors. Whether your dog is super active, slowing down, or struggling with mood or health changes, you’ll find tools that help.

Does this course cover nutrition advice?

Yes but it is a blanket approach, meaning it isn’t a personalised approach for you and your dog. We teach you how to read food labels, understand key nutrients, avoid common fillers, and feed according to your dog’s real needs. We don’t sell or promote one specific diet. This course helps you make informed choices on what food is right for you and your dog’s needs.

Will this help my dog’s behaviour?

Absolutely, behaviour often starts with how a dog feels. We explore how things like pain, inflammation, poor nutrition, and lack of structure can impact behaviour and how to support calmness and focus through better care.

What equipment or tools do I need?

Nothing fancy, you’ll just need internet access to watch the modules and a notebook is helpful to track routines, but not required.

What if I already see a vet or physio?

This course is designed to complement professional care. It gives you day to day tools and knowledge to support what your vet is already doing, and helps you ask better questions when needed.

Can food really affect my dog’s mood or anxiety?

Yes, the gut-brain axis plays a big role in mood regulation. Supporting gut health can have a positive impact on anxiety, focus, and energy levels. We explain how, and when to consult your vet or nutritionist for more personalised guidance.

Should I use supplements for health or behaviour?

Not always, the course shows you what evidence-backed nutrition is needed to have a healthy, happy dog and when to speak to a vet for tailored advice.

How do I know if my dog is in pain?

Dogs hide discomfort well. We teach simple at-home body checks and subtle behavioural signs to look out for, like changes in mood, energy, or posture so you can catch issues early.

Does this course work if I have limited time?

Yes. It’s designed with real-life routines in mind. You'll learn how to build small, sustainable changes into your daily calendar that make a big impact over time.
