Karen is an approachable, realistic Behaviourist. Breaking down our behaviour programme into bitesize chunks so we are really able to understand how to implement at home and fit it into our day to day. We have a Malinois who tends to be under confident and can be people reactive at times, since doing our session with Karen we have seen our dog grow in confidence around new people, see her crate as a safe space and overall, become a lot happier. I would highly recommend using Karen if you have a need for any behaviour advice, you will see such a difference and kick yourself for not doing it sooner!

As an owner of various breeds of dogs during my adult life I have used a behaviourist twice in the past. Owning our first rescue we found we needed some additional support and was recommended Karen. Karen not only was a breath of fresh air in personality but she was very in depth, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with in all of our concerns. I would highly recommend Karen and have no doubts that we have given our dog a trusted human to deal with, which in our book speaks volumes.

As a herding breed, my dog Luca can be nervous and reactive. Karen’s given me so much knowledge and advice on how I can help my dog manage the situations around her. I really can’t recommend her enough - Luca loved her pretty much from the beginning and it’s been great to see her meet new people and try new activities. The training has been so helpful for us both.

We have had several trainers but Neville really took to Karen as she always did all the training on his terms. He has flourished under her tutelage and I would highly recommend.

A year ago, we simply could not imagine that Potter would be the warm, funny, loving, confident dog that he has become. He's just passed his Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen Award and we are working towards Silver.

I have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel who is 10.5 years old and totally deaf, she loves Fiona, who has groomed for many years. When Fiona turns up my pup gets very excited, she loves Fiona and she always looks lovely when she comes home. I couldn’t wish for anyone more trustworthy to look after my dog.

Fiona grooms my two Japanese Spitz; one is a rescue and very nervous and hates noises and sudden movement, but he's always happy to go with Fiona. I am physically challenged so Fiona has the pleasure of claws and feet trims as well as the challenging Spitz coat! He always comes home clean and tangle-free. Both my dogs love it when they hear Fiona’s car coming.

Fiona has been Rosie's groomer for about three-and-a-half years and I couldn't imagine anyone else pampering her. From Rosie's first puppy groom, where Fiona gave her a little trim and lots of reassurance, to her adult grooms where she comes back looking, and smelling, wonderful, Fiona considers Rosie's look but also her health and what is best for her. I can't recommend Fiona enough and I know my two pups would agree.

Our Labrador Polly began her 3 walks-a-week with Katie in April 2022. Polly hears the van, and rushes to the front door, tail wagging furiously! I know that all the equipment is up-to-date and have no safety fears for Polly. An added bonus is the videos of her outings and I've also had help in getting Polly accustomed to a ramp. Every walker I have met is well-trained and enthusiastic about their work. So, as Shirley would say, it has to be a 10 from me!!

The best and most honest dog experiences in Surrey. I would highly recommend it, my dog has never been more excited when the staff come to pick him up. Their integrated services (dog walking, training, sitting & grooming) make this an efficient and helpful company for working life with a dog!

I highly recommend Citizen Canine! We got married in Devon and needed someone to look after our two spaniels for 3 days whilst we were down there. As soon as we handed over Woody and Buzz we felt completely at ease. Five stars for Citizen Canine! Katie is brilliant and I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s been looking after my Weimaraner, Lula, on and off for well over a year, who always gets excited when she sees Katie. Not only do I know she’s well looked after but Katie has a lot of knowledge about dogs (and horses) and she is kind but not overly soft which instills confidence 🐾❤️

Katie and the team helped us out massively when we both had gone back to work after lockdown and were worried about leaving our dog, Pogo. We booked drop-ins with the team to ensure Pogo was let out at lunch. We couldn’t fault the service, were kept informed and updated with photos and really reassured Pogo was in good hands. Citizen Canine offer an independent service looking at the smaller details that a lot of other companies may overlook, hence why I have been so grateful and taken aback by it all! Katie and her team have been fantastic with Bailey and he absolutely adores them all; he can’t run off fast enough when he goes off with them! He comes back every day tired from the wonderful adventures he has had.

I simply cannot recommend Citizen Canine enough. Katie and Jacob have been fantastic with our dog and have been helping us out since she was a puppy. She adores them and gets ridiculously excited when they arrive and they’ve also been wonderful in helping us consolidate our training.
