Hi, I'm Katie
I founded Citizen Canine in 2021. With a background of rehabilitating a number of challenging rescue dogs, I found there was a need for a community space where everyone can go for support.

We offer a holistic approach to pet wellbeing, from nutrition and training to owner workshops and grooming. We reject casual and unsafe practices as well as corporate takeovers of our care and education-centric world.

We’re fanatical about giving the best possible care to the dogs entrusted to us, as well as their lifestyle and training. We connect local suppliers with our clients and foster a community of resource-based sharing and understanding.
CONFIDENCE & SUPPORT
We understand how hard ownership can be, and believe that it’s acceptable for things to go wrong on the journey to improvement. We welcome mistreated animals and mis-understood breeds and work with pet psychologists and specialist trainers to build confidence in both pet and owner.

Our customers deserve to know that their dog is getting the very best care and experience. We transport our animals in air-conditioned luxury, supply digital trackers for all dogs when they're with us and send regular updates to ensure peace of mind. Our passionate people are trained to the highest standard.

Qualifications
Accredited Dog Trainer at Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. Psychology BSc, studying with the aim to become a certified Animal behaviourist, Trained Dog First Aider, CHW Hoopers Instructor.

Dog Behaviour / Training / Flyball
Experience
Focuses on a holistic approach to dog behavioural issues, competing in Flyball for over 8 years and has owned dogs for over 12 years.
Qualifications
Fully qualified behaviourist (IMDTB Accredited Dog Behaviour Level 5), IMDT Accredited Dog Trainer, trained in small Animal First Aid, CHW Hoopers Instructor and CAM advocate level 1.
